· Pressure Wash:

· Flashing:
Seal with Duracool Brushable Caulk and polyester fabric.
· Sky Lights and Penetrations:
Seal with Duracool Brushable Caulk, coat skylights with contrasting color or clear coat.
· Metal Roofs:
Secure and replace fasteners as needed. Coat all rusted areas with Duracool Rust Treatment. Use Duracool Brushable Caulk on seams, protrusions and flashings.
· EPDM Roofs:
Clean and prime using RP-2 primer. Contact Duracool.
· Drying Time:
Duracool will dry in 2 to as much as 4 hours depending on relative humidity. If Duracool is not dry by nightfall, dew will form and wash off any coating which has not dried. Also, it is critical to beware of any late forming afternoon showers. We recommend that Duracool be applied only when the weather forecast call for 20% or less chance of precipitation.
PRECAUTIONARY TIPS
· Operating personnel should wear sun protective clothing and sunglasses.
· On metal roofs you are coating up and down with the ribs so it is easy to miss the backs of the ribs facing away from you. Check this very soon after you start spraying. Be sure that the spray tip is pointing straight down at a 90° angle to the roof.
· To be sure of your coverage, mark off an area 12 x 10 and make sure you are not spraying much more or much less than one gallon on this area.
One gallon is about 2 ½ deep in a bucket, and 1 ½ deep in a drum. You should achieve this coverage using a 50% overlap spray technique.
· Do not dilute Duracool products.
· Replace spray tips approximately every 300 gallons.
· When quitting and resuming spraying the next day, merely place tip and inlet hose in a bucket of water no clean-up required.
· When quitting for a week clean all hoses with water and leave water in lines.
· When quitting for more than a week, run ethylene glycol through the lines and store the equipment.
· Wear rubber soled shoes.
