PRODUCT NAME: DURACOOL I
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: DURACOOL I is a white mastic coating, made with superior elastomeric polymers. The product contains strong rust inhibitors, which makes it very suitable for application on metal roofs with varying degrees of rust.
RECOMMENDED USES: Primarily designed for use on metal surfaces.
PRODUCT FEATURES:
* Water based coating makes it easy to use, easy clean-up, non-toxic, VOC
compliant, non-flammable.
* Excellent adhesion to various metal substrates.
* Highly flexible, even at low temperatures. Will no crack, peel or flake over
the life of the product.
* Contains a strong mildewcide/fungicide.
* Contains strong rust inhibitive pigments.
* Excellent resistance to dirt pick-up helps it stay white longer and maintain
reflectivity.
* Reflects 90% of the heat and UV rays from the sun.
* Excellent reflective properties reduce cooling costs.
SURFACE PREPARATION: All surfaces to be coated must be clean, dry and free of oil, grease, or dirt. High-pressure water washing with DURACOOL ROOF WASH is suggested. Previously present coating must be checked for good adhesion. Any loosely adhering coating must be removed and bare surface must be prepared and cleaned and checked for compatibility, before coating.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE: DURACOOL I is ready to use, thinning is not required or recommended.
Brush: A good quality synthetic or nylon bristly brush.
Roller: Long nap roller is recommended.
Spray: Airless spray equipment, spray tip #631, 3 gpm capacity.
LIFE EXPECTANCY: 12 15 years.

ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION
WASTE DISPOSAL METHODS: Dispose waste in an authorized waste disposal facility in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.
WARNING: Empty container retains product residue and vapors. Observe all precautions even after container is empty. Washing container will not make it safe for food or cosmetic storage. Keep even empty containers tightly closed and away from the reach of children.

APPLICATION PRECAUTIONS
· METHOD: Duracool coatings are designed for airless or conventional spray equipment and can be applied by brush or roller.
· EQUIPMENT: Airless spray equipment is best suited for field application. Pump 3000 psi at 2 gpm. Gun compatible with pump used. Tip Size - .025 to .035 self-cleaning reversible.
· MIXING: Not required or suggested.
· DRYING TIME: 3 hours at 70, 50% humidity.
· TOUCH-UP AND REPAIRS: Duracool coatings are easily repaired. Use brush or roller for small areas.
· EQUIPMENT CLEAN-UP: Use tap water while coating is still wet.
SURFACE PREPARATION
· CLEANING: Remove all litter and foreign debris.
· PRESSURE WASH: Use Duracool Roof Wash to clean and pre-treat roof surface. Use pressure washer with a minimum 2000 psi.
· PRE-EXISTING SINGLE PLY ROOFING: Remove all wet or inadequately bonded insulation and roofing material.
· FLASHING: Seal with Duracool Brushable Caulk.
· SKY LIGHTS AND PENETRATIONS: Seal with Duracool Brushable Caulk, coat skylights with contrasting color.
· METAL ROOFS: Secure and replace fasteners as needed. Coat all rusted areas with Duracool Rust Treatment. Use Duracool Brushable Caulk on seams, protrusions and flashings.
· ASPALTIC ROOFS: Repair all cracks and alligatoring with Duracool Gator-Fil prior to coating.
